This Privacy Policy explains how ConFeedAnt collects, uses, and protects information when our app receives Instagram Direct Messages sent to a connected service account and processes them to generate automated replies.

Summary

ConFeedAnt acts as a logistics layer for content and messaging. For Instagram Direct, we receive message events for a connected service account, process them on our servers, and generate suggested or automatic replies using AI assistants and/or human operators (depending on your settings).

Who this policy is for

This policy applies to (a) visitors of our website, and (b) users who connect an Instagram account (a “Service Account”) to ConFeedAnt and send/receive Direct Messages through that account.
Not affiliated with Meta. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. ConFeedAnt is an independent service.

Information we process

Depending on your use of ConFeedAnt, we may process:
  • Instagram message content: text, links, and attached metadata included in Direct Messages sent to the Service Account.
  • Message event metadata: timestamps, conversation/thread IDs, message IDs, sender/recipient identifiers provided by Instagram’s APIs, and delivery/read status when available.
  • Account and workspace data: your name, email, organization name, settings, routing rules, and integrations you configure.
  • Operational logs: technical logs (e.g., request IDs, error traces) required to maintain reliability and security.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data. Please avoid sending sensitive information through automated channels unless you have a lawful basis and the user’s consent where required.

How we use information

We use processed information to:
  • receive and display inbound Direct Messages inside ConFeedAnt;
  • generate suggested responses using AI assistants (and optionally route messages to human operators);
  • send replies back to Instagram on your behalf, according to your settings;
  • prevent spam and abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain platform compliance;
  • monitor, debug, and improve reliability, performance, and security.

AI processing

If AI reply generation is enabled, message content may be sent to our AI processing components to produce a draft or an automated response. Depending on your configuration, AI responses may be:
  • Suggested (a human approves/edits before sending), or
  • Automatic (sent without human review).
You control these settings at the workspace level.

Human review

If human routing is enabled, authorized team members or operators may view message content to craft responses, moderate conversations, or handle escalations. Access is role-based and logged.

Legal bases

Where applicable, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract (providing the service), (b) legitimate interests (security, reliability, fraud prevention), and/or (c) consent (where required, e.g., for certain automated processing settings).

Data retention

We retain message data only as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You may configure retention windows in product where available. We may retain aggregated or de-identified analytics longer.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, audit logging, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share information only as necessary to operate ConFeedAnt, including with:
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, monitoring);
  • AI technology providers (to generate replies) where enabled;
  • Authorized personnel in your workspace (and optional operators, if configured).
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Workspace administrators can manage settings and data retention. If you are an end user messaging the Service Account, you may contact the account owner or us to request assistance.
